Vancouver-based Ty Dale says on his portfolio that his workspace is chaotic— from that chaos, though, he manages to distil the world around him into its basic geometry, prompting us to look at the mundane in a different way. One of his illustrations is inspired by an occasion when “we found a guy secretly living in a really tall treefort on a abandoned property that turns into a overgrown meadow every summer.” His portfolio is lively and bold, bright colours contrasted with thick black lines, with the occasional use of texture. We hope Ty’s world stays chaotic, and he keeps on illustrating it!
