We’ve just fallen in love with the illustrative work of Mike Kerr. Besides being a talented illustrator, Mike runs an art collective with his wife called RandM Collective, as well as teaching at the Alberta College of Art and Design, Calgary.
Mike has a few styles he employs, but the majority of his work seems to be in a flat yet painterly style. Occasionally he ventures into a hybrid of 3D and illustration. In fact all through Mike’s work you can see experimentation and playfulness. We were particularly interested in the “process” shots he took of his sketchbooks. Full of wonderful details and showcasing an artist in his element.
