Sometimes you stumble on some work that just floors you. In this case Hiné’s work got our attention by the sheer patience and dedication of it’s creation. Although not strictly illustration, Hiné’s work has an illustrative quality to it. Most of her pieces are created using felt – but her work goes beyond cutesy craft – it’s enters the realm of fine art.
Indeed she’s created pieces for videos used by They Might Be Giants. Look at the amount of detail in each piece and you’ll begin to grasp the time it takes to create them. Her actual formal illustration work is created using brightly coloured paper and compliments her felt style. Truly intriguing work.
