Carl Wiens is an illustrator working out of Belleville, Ontario. His work is a combination of vintage styled illustrations and screen printing. Most of Carls work makes heavy use of textures and illustration techniques such as Victorian style etching. Halftone patterns become exaggerated and explode off the page. His personal work often employs robotic looking figurines created using mechanical leftovers such as springs and bolts. In fact a lot of his work is actually illustrations created from objects. In contrast to this Carl also has a rather clean style he uses sometimes. His portfolio is quite diverse so dive in and take a look. Wonderful stuff.
