Originally hailing from the Philippines but now working out of Toronto, Michael Del Mundo is probably better known to the world as Deadly Mike, an appropriate sobriquet that fits with his work’s forceful, dynamic style. His illustrations can be found on the covers of comics everywhere; there is the high-contrast, almost psychedelic renditions of WEIRDWORLD, whereas his covers for Dexter and X-Men Legacy make use of pastel colours with a healthy dose of dark humour. He’s also lent his hand to Deadpool and The Incredible Hulk, always maintaining the balance between his signature style and the ethos of the characters themselves.
